  I love these Inuit Art calendars. Engagement calendars are much the same but these from Cape Dorset are full of the wonderful art I otherwise only see in books or museums. Some is whimsical; some seems almost from folklore. All are heavily influenced by the natural world. This desk calendar and the wall calendar from the same source are 5/5(8). "[Agnes Nanogak's] mother was of Mackenzie Delta/Copper Eskimo background; her father, William Natkutsiak (Billy Banksland), came from Alaska as a guide to explorer Vilhjalmur Stefannson. Nanogak moved to Holman, Northwest Territories, at the age of twelve, married Wallace Goose, and raised seven children. She is one of Holman's most prominent and prolific artists.

The Co-operative is in Cape Dorset, Nunavut and is unique among the Arctic Co-operatives for its focus on the arts and artists of the community.
